I’m extremely impressionable when I browse through Pinterest photos or when I shop in the supermarket. I’ll see an ingredient or a photo and suddenly it’s like – yes – I must make that!!
Was watching a YouTube video that mentioned that banana bread is the most Googled recipe on the web. Oh really? I was hit with an intense urge to make the most Googled food item immediately. Decided to pop some chocolate chips in as well for some interest.
Recipe as follows:
265g self-raising flour
40g plain flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
140g brown sugar
125ml milk
100g chocolate chips
2 eggs
50g melted butter
2 bananas, mashed
- Preheat oven to 160 Celcius (fan forced) and butter a 11x21cm loaf pan generously. Alternatively, just spray it liberally with a cooking spray.
- Measure all ingredients and pour all of it into a bowl and mix together thoroughly.
- Bake for 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your oven. Loaf is done when a toothpick comes out clean after insertion.
- Leave to cool. Slice and enjoy with liberal pats of butter.
