One of the largest wineries in the Northeast Region is the Brown Brothers winery in Milawa. I have dined with them several times in the past and it has always been a very pleasant experience. 
By the time we got here, I had already ate 3 lavish meals in a row so unfortunately I was ready to have something plain rather than more rich food. However, I soldiered on. Ordered the trout which was outstanding – very fine flesh that almost melted in the mouth accompanied with a very tasty beetroot salad. My friends ordered more than I did and they said theirs were lovely too.
Lots of wine once again – every course you order at Brown Brothers comes with a complimentary glass of wine and if you are a member of their Epicurean Club, you get a free glass of sparkling on arrival on top of that. They make sure you are well watered, these people.
