Every year me and my housemate and ex-housemate get together and carve a watermelon, as per tradition since 2009. Here is our latest effort. We have named him Raoul the Owl. Isn’t he cute?
Raoul has carrot top eyebrows, grape eyes and a carrot nose. It took us about 3 hours to get this done. Next up? Possibly a dragon.
Raoul is great. You have so much talent…and patience! π
He took about 3 hours but it was so fun! Me and my housemates wanted to hug him at the end lol.
You are so talented! What a fun tradition :0
Thank you! It is a very fun tradition. We are hoping to maybe do a dragon this year. π

This is so cute!! i can’t imagine how you even did this! I can’t slice a watermelon to save my life.
Your cakes and desserts are marvelous. You’re a very skillful baker and photographer π
Thank you! It’s actually not too difficult – we started off with really basic projects like a watermelon basket and worked from there. You should definitely give it a go if you have the chance and the time. I think you’ll enjoy it π
