What is one to do when one has an excess of limes and basil? Why – make a modified version of a mojito, of course!
Recipe as follows (makes 1 drink)
Half a lime, juiced
A slice of lime to look pretty in the glass
A few basil leaves
A shot of rum
1 tablespoon of sugar
Soda water (enough to top off glass)
Muddle lime, basil leaves, lime juice, rum and sugar together. Top off with soda water and ice. Enjoy!

It was really yummy! Definitely worth giving it a shot if you have the time and ingredients.
Love the photograph. What if you want to stay away from alcohol (and high fructose corn syrup)? 😀 Is there a replacement?
Lol oh dear I am not very good at recipe development so can’t help you there! Maybe basil and lime in plain water? LOL.
